Access control provides the fundamental user identification interface and control structure between any security system and users. systems range from a basic stand alone keypad through to PC based full building management systems. As a ‘Gold Approved’ installer of Paxton’s Net2 and Paxton10 products we have the experienced to provide a tailored solution to meet any requirement.

Stand Alone:

Basic access control systems with no event logging capabilities with all the electronics located locally within the keypad or reader, these provide the most cost-effective solution to controlling ingress and egress but have limitations regarding administration and absolute security.

Not recommended where a high turnover of staff or personnel are anticipated or where absolute security is paramount (the location of the intelligence within the reader head makes this vulnerable to attack)

Also does not allow for the tracking of users, events or fire alarm or muster.

Individual user access by way of proximity fob / card or keypad (PIN or code) installation to a single door, or multiple within a site/ building.

Typical applications include:

  • Domestic applications
  • Small business / retail premises
  • Condominium entrances
  • Internal doors.

Networked Access Control:

Networked access control systems are administered using one or more PCs on a site LAN or WAN and can be monitored and managed from a central location. This provides distributed intelligence with each controlled location able to control and log events for each transaction with events being reported back to the central administration PC and instructions transmitted across the network to each location.

This provides both the most secure solution to an access control requirement’s but also allows traceability, reporting, time in attendance, fire alarm integration, roll call, muster and IP CCTV integration – a very powerful and scalable security tool.

These systems utilise standard network infrastructures meaning they can be deployed across existing site facilities and utilise non specialist network component’s for extension and expansion, the recent availability of IP based surveillance systems means they can also be integrated with and share these network mediums.

Typical applications include:

  • Commercial Applications
  • Small business / retail premises
  • Schools an Colleges
  • Factories and Industries.
  • Large residential blocks
  • Housing Associations
Full colour ID card printing service available, negating the requirement for smaller sites to invest in a colour card printer.

Integrated Network Intercoms:

Full colour video intercom systems with access control integration LAN based and fully scalable to meet any requirements
